Self-service improvements in Care Identity Management

The option to register an iPad on your own Care Identity profile has been available for a while. We've now added 3 more authenticator types that you can register on your own profile to authenticate in place of a smartcard. This was added in release 5.70 of Care Identity Management on 19 September 2024.

We've recently introduced security codes via text message to the self-service smartcard unlock application. This was added in release 5.71 of Care Identity Management on 25 September 2024.

New Data Security Protection Toolkit (DSPT) platform available

View the new DSPT platform, which has changed to adopt the National Cyber Security Centre’s Cyber Assessment Framework as its basis for cyber security and Information Governance assurance.

These changes affect NHS trusts and foundation trusts, integrated care boards (ICBs), clinical support units (CSUs) and arm’s length bodies.
