Changes to how you accept terms and conditions

We've changed how you accept terms and conditions in Care Identity Service.

By using a smartcard or other authenticator you now implicitly accept the Care Identity Service terms and conditions.

Read the terms and conditions.

Previously a user had to log in to the old Care Identity Service application and actively accept the service's terms and conditions.

Now that the legacy service has been fully replaced by Care Identity Management, this is no longer the case. You do not need to log in to Care Identity Management to accept terms and conditions.

The latest version of NHS Identity Agent also makes it clear that there is now no need to log in to accept the terms and conditions.

Funding to support GP practices with digital tools throughout 2024/25

Funding is available to help GP practices secure digital tools (online consultation, messaging, appointment booking, demand and capacity) through the Delivery Plan for Recovering Access to Primary Care.

Given the Digital Pathways Framework is no longer being taken forward, NHS England is continuing to ask integrated care boards to work collaboratively with primary care networks, GP practices and the national Commercial and Procurement Hub to access funding for appropriate digital solutions.

See the Digital Services for Integrated Care (DSIC) Digital Pathways Framework Buyer's guide for more information and how to access funding.

You can email commercial.procurementhub@nhs.net with any questions.
